How fit are you? Find out with the FTP RAMP test on the new indoor cycling bikes.
Don't be put off by the name! The test is for all levels, from beginner to elite, and is simply a starting point which gives the rider something to measure their progress as their fitness improves.
FTP, in its simplest form, is a way of helping a rider understand their current level of fitness on a bike. During the FTP RAMP test, every four minutes the WATTs target will increase 25 watts, all you have to do is “KEEP IT GREEN” for as long as you can. Your FTP value and duration are displayed once you have successfully completed the test. The FTP RAMP test will last between 4-50mins.
By completing the test, you will gain knowledge on:
- Functional Threshold Power (FTP) test
- Fitness ability and limits
- The different Power Zones
- Preparation for our new ‘Coach by Color’ class *COMING SOON!*
These sessions are free but booking is advisable as space is limited.
The free sessions will run for four weeks from week commencing 20 January to week commencing 10 February:
- Thursdays 1900-2000
- Fridays 0945-1045
