We are delighted to announce our Learn to Swim Programme will recommence from Saturday 9th January. During this first-term back there will be no new swimmers enrolled in the programme but the aim will be to open up spaces for the following term (April-June).
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to run our 1:1 sessions or Early Years Programme, this includes the Parent & Baby, Parent & Toddler, Parent & Child and Pre-School classes. We will review the potential to offer these classes in future as part of our ongoing service delivery.
All children who were enrolled in our Swim Skills programme prior to lockdown (March 2020) will be offered a space at a time close to their previous time slot. Children will be enrolled in the same level as they were previously, due to the length of time since the programme stopped there may be children whose level of swim ability has regressed. Swim instructors will have access to the swimmers overall scores from the previous January to March term however, the aim will be to re-evaluate their skill levels during the term prior to any movement between levels taking place.
Due to safety and operational changes we will be running a maximum of three classes per time slot. To ensure we are able to still provide classes covering all levels our timetable has been split into two blocks running on a fortnightly basis with half of our classes commencing from Saturday 9th January and the other half commencing from Saturday 16th January. Please see timetable below for further details on the levels running during each block and the dates relating to these.
We are working on finalising the updated safety changes including entry and exit of the pool area which will be communicated by email and published on our website FAQ page in the near future. These details will be available prior to the cut-off date for the term payment due on Wednesday 6 January if you wish to wait before enrolling your child into their class.
