An Orkney Sports Calendar has been launched.
The idea, raised by clubs through the Kirkwall Community Sports Hub, is designed to advertise the exciting sporting events happening across the county.
The calendar includes Orkney teams competing off the islands, community events and coach education courses, and clubs and sports are being encouraged to use the calendar to strengthen closer cooperation.
Upskilling coaches and volunteers is a focus for community sports officer, Joanne Bamford, who is keen to expand coaching courses held locally and to populate the coach education section of the sports calendar.
She is currently working with key partners to provide generic training
