Mass Vaccination Clinic for Covid-19 held at Picky

Tuesday, March 9, 2021

A Covid Mass Vaccination Clinic will be held at The Pickaquoy Centre next week.

The clinic will run each day from Monday 15 March until Saturday 20 March inclusive in the sports arena and will be available for individuals aged 42-64 as well as unpaid carers.

The CV Gym will remain open but court use and public climbing sessions will be cancelled throughout the duration of the clinic.

James Linklater, Managing Director of The Pickaquoy Centre, said: “We are delighted to support the NHS in the next phase of mass vaccinations for Covid-19 in Orkney.

“It has been a challenging year for all of us, and this takes us one step further in tackling the disease and hopefully leading to more normality in the not too distant future.

“We appreciate that the cancellation of activities will be an inconvenience but hope that our customers understand the need to make this a priority for the safety of our community.

“I would also like to thank our customers and staff for their ongoing support, and look forward to when we can reopen all of our services.”

Access to the clinic will be clearly sign posted and marshalled by volunteers and staff of NHS Orkney throughout the week.
