Save a Life Workshops

SAAL - 14.1.18

Would you know what to do if someone you loved stopped breathing?

Nine out of ten people don’t know First Aid facts that could help them save a person’s life. We are running a series of Royal Life Saving Society accredited ‘save a life’ workshops through 2018.

Save an Adult’s Life: Sunday 8 July, 2pm – 4pm
The Save an Adult’s Life Workshop is suitable for all members of the community (minimum age 14).

The syllabus of the workshop is:

  • Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • Choking (diagnosis and treatment)
  • Drowning (prevention, diagnosis and treatment)

Junior Save a Life Workshop: Sunday 9 September, 2pm – 4pm
Recognising there are younger children who would benefit from learning these important skills we are planning a workshop especially for 8-13yr olds.

The syllabus of the workshop is:

  • Dangers in and around the home
  • Recognising a casualty
  • Calling the emergency services
  • Basic life support (CPR)
  • choking (diagnosis and treatment)
  • drowning (prevention and treatment)

Each course is accredited by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) and is taught by a qualified RLSS trainer at the Pickaquoy Centre.

Each course costs £15 person, includes CPR and choking guide z-card and certificate.

Light refreshments provided during each course.

You can book into as many or as few of the workshops as you like. To book, call 01856 879900 or email
