The Health, Nutrition & Fitness Education seminar series is designed to inform individuals looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of topics relating to physical & mental health, nutrition and exercise. The series aims to help educate individuals to make informed decisions on making positive changes to their lifestyle in order to improve quality of life. The seminar series is run by Katie Rafferty, BSc Applied Sport Science graduate and level 3 personal trainer, who will use both her knowledge and personal experience to not only inform those present at the seminars but help support each individual with their own health related goals. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion throughout and after the seminar.
Time: Thursdays 5.30pm – 6.30pm
Dates: 2nd, 16th, 30th November and 14th December
Cost: £5 per session (sessions can be booked individually)
Week 1: Introduction to Health, Nutrition & Exercise
An introductory seminar to highlight the main areas of health, nutrition & exercise.
Week 2: Psychology of Health, Nutrition & Exercise
An in depth look at the psychology surrounding physical & mental health and a chance to learn what might be holding you back from your goals.
Week 3: Diet, Fat Loss & Lifestyle Change
A look into 3 key areas that depict the ability to live a healthy and happy life. We will also look in depth to the truth about the health & fitness industry.
Week 4: Advanced Nutrition
Aimed to educate individuals about macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins & fats), tracking food intake and forming a healthy relationship with their health & fitness goals. You will learn about getting the balance just right.
Seminars are suitable for all health & fitness levels and are designed to inform individuals from research based knowledge and experience.
